Teresa Noce

Teresa Noce (Turin, 29 July 1900 – Bologna, 22 January 1980) was an Italian partisan and politician. She is remembered for being among the founders of the Italian Communist Party and one of the 21 women elected to the Italian Constituent Assembly. She was responsible for the proposed law in defence of maternity, which became Law 860 in 1950 for the “Physical and economic protection of working mothers”.

One of his sentences:

It was necessary for women to read and understand, to discuss with comrades by attending meetings, in short, to be considered militants on an equal footing with men.
